REQUEST FOR SHORT TERM CONSULTANCY SERVICES – DEVELOPMENT OF STANDARD PROCEDURE TOOLS

Management Solutions for Africa Limited (MS4A) is soliciting for a short-term consultant with expertise and experience in developing tools for reporting gender-based violence incidences particularly sexual harassment in educational institutions and workplaces. The consultant should have experience in development regional and or national tools especially in the West Africa in the region of ECOWAS member states.

MS4A is a social enterprise that provides services to start-up NGOs on organizational development, in areas such as new business development and resource mobilization, project management and proposal development, linking NGOs to donor grants and facilitating NGO start-up.

The consultancy services will include the following Requirements:

  • Assist in conducting research and analysis of sub – regional tools related to GBV and particularly sexual harassment in educational institutions and workplaces in the ECOWAS
  • Assist in developing standard procedure tools on sexual harassment in educational institutions and workplaces in the ECOWAS member states
  • Perform any other task(s) that may be assigned by the supervisor

Duration of Assignment:

The assignment is to be completed within five (5) days from the date of the official signing of the contract

Consultancy fees: One Hundred thousand (100,000) naira only per day

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications: 

A successful candidate should have the following expertise and experience.

  • Have at least a master’s degree in social sciences or any other related courses
  • Certified experts who have proof of developing any regional tools
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in GBV related fields
  • List any Regional tools in particularly reginal tools related to GBV that they have been developed
  • Has experience developing tools in the field of the fight against gender-based violence and sexual harassment in primary, secondary and educational institution.
  • Have a good knowledge of the realities of the context of the West African region, particularly on gender equality;
  • Familiarity with the tools and methodology of social science research and analysis
  • Have a good knowledge of computer tools: Microsoft Word, Power Point and any other relevant software.
